Our lifestyle Here and Now

Introducing our lifestyle:

Gary and Deborah Felton our lifestyle. At least as of today!

We introduce our lifestyle a professional photographer and his wife retired from destination wedding planning.
Throw in two cute dogs and a 28 FT Sailboat. A Bristol Channel Cutter.
Both of us have a wealth of experience in the creative industry.   Along with opportunity to find solace and inspiration in the beauty of the Caribbean.
Our online gallery, Garyfelton.com, showcases the stunning prints captured by Gary, providing a glimpse into the mesmerizing world we call home.
We maybe long in the teeth so to speak but we have fun. Think of us as a Kind of MOM and POP living the life.
cute dogs Jack and Billy
We may be Partial but we think we have very cute dogs. Jack the poodle and Billy the Yorkie.

Meet Our Canine Crew:

Our furry kids, Jack and Billy, are an integral part of our lifestyle sailing adventures. Jack, the miniature poodle, has gained quite a following on Instagram as @jackthesailingdog. With his charming personality and love for the sea, he has become an internet sensation. Billy, our 10-month-old Yorkie, is a recent addition to our crew, bringing joy, excitement and a whole new set of challenges to our daily lives.  We forgot what having a puppy on board was like. Were remembering fast the chewing and games of catch me if you can.  A terrier is a whole different ball game of dogs.

Life Afloat:

Living on a sailboat presents unique challenges and rewards. We share our insights into the practicalities of our lifestyle on a boat.  Including how we have trained our dogs to adapt to this unconventional lifestyle. From relieving themselves on board to exercising through swimming and play on deck, our dogs have become seasoned sailors.
We also explain what its like and what we do when our lifestyle means dodging hurricanes in the Caribbean.

Nutrition and Care:

Maintaining a healthy diet for our dogs is crucial, even on a sailboat. We discuss our approach to their nutrition, which includes a combination of kibble, freeze-dried dog food, and fresh vegetables, nuts, cheese, and treats. Drawing from my experience in dog obedience competitions, we highlight the importance of training and obedience in ensuring a harmonious life on board. We explain the importance of alternative exercise and diets when living on the boat.

 Exploring the Caribbean:

Embark on a virtual journey with us as we sail through the turquoise waters of the Caribbean. We share tales of our favorite destinations, hidden gems, and encounters with marine life. From breathtaking sunsets to vibrant coral reefs, our photography captures the essence of these idyllic locations.
We also venture on to land for travel in our RV.  Yellowstone Nation Park allows us to work summers in the park and winters in the Caribbean, our lifestyle does not mean we don’t work.

Conclusion:

Living on a sailboat and our lifestyle has allowed us to embrace a simpler, more adventurous lifestyle. Through our blog, we invite you to join us on this incredible journey, where we combine our love for photography, dogs, and the open sea. Stay tuned for captivating stories, stunning visuals, and insights into the joys and challenges of life on a sailboat with our canine companions.
WE sometimes do get off the boat and travel in our RV. Think Yellowstone National Park. Stay tuned for more.
